Petco Park
Endecon’s work program included identifying and mapping all existing wet and dry utility systems located within a 16 block area of downtown San Diego. In addition, Endecon was responsible for developing specific strategies that will require all dry utility companies to remove and relocate their existing facilities which are in conflict with street and other project improvements. Endecon was also responsible for coordinating dry utility issues with each of the various project team members and construction contractors. Endecon also developed the City’s no street-cut ordinances.

San Diego International Airport Expansion Project, San Diego, CA.
Project Description: New Terminal Addition to San Diego’s International Airport
Endecon Responsibilities: Endecon’s responsibilities included performing value engineering and reverse engineering evaluating services for work required by local utility companies relative to their providing new utility service to the project. In addition, Endecon prepared system design plans illustrating alternative design options. Endecon provided direct coordination with utilities and contractors ensure that the project’s construction schedule was met. Through Endecon’s investigation over $ 2,000,000 in excessive charges were identified.
San Diego International Airport East Terminal Pedestrian Bridge, San Diego, CA.
Project Description: Construction of New Pedestrian Bridge connecting Parking Area to New Terminal Addition.
Endecon Responsibilities: Endecon’s responsibilities included performing value engineering and reverse engineering evaluating services for work required by local utility companies relative to their providing new utility service to the new structure. Endecon prepared system design construction documents to illustrating less costly alternative design options. In addition, Endecon provided direct coordination with utilities to expedite the removal and relocation of existing underground facilities that were in conflict with proposed improvements.
San Diego International Airport – Harbor Drive Realignment, San Diego, CA.
Project Description: Feasibility Study
Endecon Responsibilities: Endecon was retained to identify potential areas of cost savings involving the removal and relocation of local utility company’s existing facilities that would be impacted by the proposed street improvement project. Endecon’s efforts revealed that the utilities charged for work which should have been covered by the City’s franchise agreements, including the relocation of an existing 12” high pressure gas main 69KV electric transmission systems, and telecommunication telephone trunk systems. All strategies were supported through the use of engineered plans that were prepared for each utility company.

Project Description: Value Engineering Evaluation
Endecon Responsibilities: The project’s scope of work called for Endecon to develop strategies and construction design for providing new service to the new project and evaluating existing utility easements for potential areas of cost savings. In addition, Endecon coordinated the preparation of contract documents with local utility companies and the initial pre-construction meeting between contractors and utility companies.

Project Description: Construction of Major Parking Lot Facility Located Adjacent to the Airport
Endecon Responsibilities: Endecon was retained to identify potential areas of cost savings involving the removal and relocation of local utility company’s existing facilities that would be impacted by the proposed street improvement and parking lot project site. Endecon developed system design plans to supply electric and telecommunication utilities to the project and coordinated efforts of local utility companies and construction contractors through the completion of the project. In addition, Endecon developed strategies that relieved the project of over $ 20,000.00 in utility system relocation fees.
Montgomery Field Airport Business Park and Redevelopment Project, San Diego, CA.
Project Description: A 56 Acre Multi-Lot Business Park and Redevelopment Project
Endecon Responsibilities: Endecon was retained as the project’s dry utility consultant to provide full engineering, design, strategic planning and construction support services for the City’s major redevelopment project located adjacent to the airport. Endecon developed system design plans to supply electric, gas, and telecommunication utilities to the project and coordinated construction efforts between local utility companies and the project’s construction contractors.
City of San Diego Naval Training Center Redevelopment Project, Point Loma, CA.
Project Description: This project is a major redevelopment project for the city of San Diego and consists of redeveloping a previous naval base into a mixed-use project. Once completed, the project will have 250 single family homes, 2 hotels, 25 office buildings, a new City park, and over 15 historical buildings.
Endecon Responsibilities: Endecon’s responsibilities include developing value engineering options which include identifying engineering, design, and utility service rule implementation strategies that will require local utility companies to remove and relocate their existing facilities that are in conflict with street and other improvements at the utilities cost.Coordinating new system requirements with and for the San Diego International Airport air flight facilities located on the project site.
